PHARMACOLOGY
This medication combines Paracetamol and Caffeine. Paracetamol has pain-relieving and fever-reducing properties, along limited anti-inflammatory effects Caffeine, alkaloid andanthine derivative similar theophylline, enhances the solubility and membrane penetration of Paracetamol through intermolecular interactions. Additionally, Caffeine raises the pain threshold and pain tolerance. It also promotes increased vessel tone in the brain, which can be beneficial for treating migraines and headaches.
INDICATIONS
This medication is used for the following conditions:
- Headache
- Toothache
- Neuralgia
- Fever
- Menstrual pain
- Sore throat

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
For adults: 1-2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 8 tablets in one day.For children: Not recommended for those under 12 years old.
CONTRAINDICATION
Paracetamol is not suitable for individuals with severe kidney impairment or liver disease (such as Viral Hepatitis) or for those who are hypersensitive to either Paracetamol or Caffeine.

SIDE EFFECTS

DRUG INTERACTION
May lower serum concentrations when combined with anticonvulsants (e.g., phenytoin, barbiturates, carbamazepine). Prolonged use can enhance the blood-thinning effects of warfarin and other coumarins. The absorption rate is accelerated by metoclopramide and domperidone. Probenecid may raise serum levels. Chloramphenicol levels may also increase. Co-administration with colestyramine may impair absorption if taken within one hour. Severe hypothermia may occur with phenothiazine.
